Fees, curricula, admissions calendars and the questions that actually matter — how families relocating to Nigeria approach the school search without panic.
For most relocating families, the school decision drives everything else — where you live, when you move, even whether the move happens this year or next. It deserves a method, not a panic.
Start with curriculum fit: British, American, IB and Nigerian curricula all have strong Lagos options, and the right choice depends on where your children are coming from and where they may go next.
Then the admissions calendar. Good schools fill early, assessments have fixed windows, and mid-year entry is possible but narrower. Families who begin a term ahead have options; families who begin a month ahead have compromises.
Visit if you can — and if you cannot, ask better questions. Staff turnover, class sizes, safeguarding policy, communication with parents abroad, and how the school handles children adjusting to a new country tell you more than any brochure.
Our free School Guide was written for exactly this stage: the questions to ask, the timelines to respect and the shortlist discipline that turns an overwhelming search into a confident decision.
